Sketches: Slice Visual Essay

The above sketches are based on a Laban performance entitled Me, Myself & I. During the beginning stages of the piece four dancers are all in unison, moving as if one entity. As the performance evolves the unity begins to fragment and element of individuality begins to surface, it is here where I have decided to base my sketches upon.

Studio: Beyond the Canvas

Currently working on a series of small square drawings that are abstract in form. In them I'm attempting to encourage the viewer into questioning what could lie beyond the canvas, beyond the drawn line.

These initial drawings were later developed further within my sketchbook. I'm hoping to continue this series into an artists book.
